Welcome to week 27!
We’ve got an exciting change in Norway. TV 2 has stayed on top ever since we launched our Norwegian edition, but this week public broadcaster NRK ascends to the top for the very first time with a solid 563,000 total engagement. Broadcaster TV 2 ends up in second place with only slightly less, 543,000, while tabloid VG holds on to third place with 309,000 engagement.
Aftonbladet won Sweden last week but this week they can’t help but to make way for rival Expressen, claiming victory with just over 1 million total engagement. Aftonbladet comes in second with 819,000 and viral site Newsner wraps up the top three with 786,000 engagement.
In France, sport site L’EQUIPE nearly doubles its engagement from last week’s 2,4 million to this week’s 4,3 million! 20 Minutes remains the country’s most engaging news media with its 2,8 million engagement (up from 1,8 million last week) and another sport site Le Meilleur du Football claims third place with 2,1 million engagement, moving up from fifth place last week. Engagement for the top contenders is up across the board, last week being the the final week of Euro 2016 games with Portugal winning the championship on Sunday night. It will be exciting to see what kind of effect the end of football games has on next week’s results.
No changes in the Finnish top three as Ilta-Sanomat remains on top with 737,000 engagement, followed by rival Iltalehti at 680,000 and public broadcaster Yleisradio with 592,000 engagement. The lower half of the top 10 is in flux, with lifestyle site Hidasta elämää and entertainment media Stara climbing up slightly since last week.
Finally, let’s take a look at some of the top posts from last week.
